Electric Symphony Media is excited to welcome and announce their newest employee, Account Coordinator, John McElroy!

John started working at ESM in November of 2022. His first few weeks have included industry related training, welcoming conversations and introductions, along with learning his new responsibilities. “I have really enjoyed my first few weeks working at ESM! I felt extremely comfortable from the minute I started working and everyone in the office welcomed me with open arms,” John said. “I could not ask for a better work culture! Learning new information about media and advertising has helped me understand more about clients’ needs. I look forward to learning more about the media and advertising industry while growing at ESM!”

John graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York where he earned his Bachelor’s in Communications with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations, as well as a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications. He was a member of many on campus organizations including Best Buddies, a non-profit organization that spreads awareness for people with developmental and physical disabilities and makes them feel included from the area around Marist, as well as Autism Speaks which brings awareness and raises money for people with autism. He was also a member of the Marist Advertising Association, Public Relations Student Society of America, and participated in intramural sports. 

Before joining ESM, John had 2 internships. He first interned at North Road Communications, a student run agency at Marist College. He was an account representative who worked on a team and assisted their client with media relations and other forms of advertising. He also interned at The Gate, as a creative advertising intern. At The Gate, he assisted with creative aspects of advertising such as copywriting for social media, video ads, social and display ads, and overall graphic design for advertisement campaigns. 

His Account Manager, Steven D’Ippolito, stated “John brings a great energy as one of ESM’s newest team members and specifically to the account team. He is someone who is eager to learn and asks appropriate questions to ensure that quality of work is maintained. As we continue to introduce John to new clients and agency partners I anticipate to see him thrive as an Account Coordinator. Eventually we hope to utilize all of John’s skills as ESM expands its services moving forward and we are incredibly happy to have him as part of our team!”
